Week of March 13

Our shape this week was RECTANGLE. A Rectangle is like a door.  Our theme was robots.

We read the book Robots , Robots Everywhere! by Sue Fliess

For our Skill Center we traced robots.

For a Fine Motor Center we stacked rectangle blocks. We stacked them on the short end and on the long end.

For another Fine Motor Center we laced wooden robot shapes.

For our Art Center we made robots out of rectangles.

Week of March 6

It was Super Hero Week in Jumpstart this week. Our shape was TRIANGLE.

Our book this week was Super Chicken by Rebecca Purcell.

For our Art Center we made super heroes with triangle capes.

For our Play Center we played with large blocks and super heroes.

For our Fine Motor Center we used our Super Strength to squeeze playdoh with a citrus juicer. We are really strengthening our hand muscles to get ready for writing!

For our Skill Center we used dry erase crayons to trace lines connecting super heroes. We start with dry erase crayons instead of markers. The crayons drag a little, so they are easier for our little ones to control. We can wipe off the laminated sheets and start all over.
