Week of February 5

We had a fun new toy in the classroom this week. We brought in a Grocery Store! Our little ones loved the surprise!

Our story this week was Pete's Big Lunch. We had fun calling out the colors of all the different foods in Pete's lunch.

For our Play Center we played Market and Grocery. We picked fruits and veggies from the garden. We went shopping at the store. Our little ones took turns running the cash register and bagging groceries.

For our Art Center we made a SQUARE basket and filled it with blueberries. We made the blueberries with our fingerprints and paint. We are getting better at using our glue sticks. Just a dab will do!

For our Sensory Center we played in a bin of dry pasta. Our little ones loved scooping!

For our Fine Motor/Skill Center we did some color matching with pie. We used tweezers to pick fruits for our pie. We sorted them by color.

We have so much fun together every week. My favorite time is watching our little ones learn to pray before we eat our snack. God is great. God is good. Let us thank him for our food. Amen!

Week of January 29

This week monsters invaded our class! Our shape was SQUARE.

We read the book Never Touch a Monster.

For our Art Center we made Monsters with a SQUARE body. Our little ones had a fun time picking all the colors for their monster parts.

For our Sensory Center we made monsters with Playdoh. We added lots of parts to make funny monsters.

For a Fine Motor Center we put tiny google eyes on monster faces. We counted the spots to match our eyes.

For our Skill Center we matched colors. We matched colored pom poms to spots on our monsters.

This week was our field trip to the Children's Museum of Evansville. Our little ones had a blast exploring all the exciting exhibits!

Thanks so much for sharing your little ones with us!
