Week of March 11

Our Shape this week was TRIANGLE.

We read the book Knuffle Bunny by Mo Willems.

For our Art Center we made carrots. We counted 3 orange TRIANGLES as we glued them to our paper. We counted the leaves on each carrot.

For our Sensory Center we played with magnetic triangles on the light table. Our little ones have so much fun with this activity. It really sparks their creativity.

For our Skill Center we "mowed the grass". We practiced our scissor snipping skills. We taped strips of grass to a picture of flowers. When we trimmed the grass we could see the flowers again. Scissor skills can be hard for our little ones, but their hard work will pay off. Once they get the hang of it they will create a strong habit of safety and skill. We put out thumb in the small section and we keep our thumb up. We point the scissors away from us at all times.

For our Play Center we harvested veggies from the garden. We matched them by colors to our basket..

The Library Lady came for a visit this week.

At Circle Time we played a game called Square or Triangle.

We read the book Bear's New Friend by Karma Wilson.

For our Play Center we went camping. We pretended to fish in a stream, relaxed in a tent, had a pretend campfire, and made smores.

For our Sensory Center we played with magnetic tile shapes on our light table.

For our Art Center we made a campfire craft with our hand prints.

For our Skill Center we color sorted bugs and bears.

We even had a camping themed snack. We ate graham cracker tents with little bears.
