Week of March 14

Our shape this week was OVAL. An OVAL is like an egg.

We read the book Knuffle Bunny by Mo Willems.

At Circle Time we worked in counting items from 1 to 10.

For our Art Center we made a bunny in the grass from an oval. Our little ones used glue stick to put the pieces together.

For a Fine Motor Center we practiced using tongs. We picked up pompous of different colors and placed them in the matching color egg shell.

For another Fine Motor Center we made a Jesus loves me craft with foam stickers.

For our Sensory Center we played with colored rice and plastic eggs.

We were all excited that the weather was nice enough for us to get outside a little.

Next week is Spring Break! Enjoy your week!

Week of March 7

Our shape this week is DIAMOND. A Diamond is like a kite.

We are learning the last day of creation this month.
Day 1: God made the night and the day
Day 2: He made the big blue sky
Day 3: He made the land and the sea
Day 4: He made the sun and the moon
Day 5: He made the birds that fly and the fish in the sea
Day 6: He made people like me and all the animals
Day 7: God rested

For our Art Center we made kites. We used a diamond stamp to decorate our kite. We glued bows on the yarn tail. They look super cute hanging in the classroom.

For our Fine Motor Center we used chunky beads in lots of shapes. We strung them on laces and pipe cleaners.

For our Sensory Center we cute shapes our of Playdoh. We used rolling pins to flatten our dough. We chose different shapes of cookie cutters to cut our dough.

For our Skill Center we played with chunky plastic nuts and bolts. We had to match the nut and bold by color and shape to make them fit. Then, we turned the nut to connect it to the bolt.

We were excited to get out to the playground one day this week!

We had lots of fun at our CMOE field trip!

Next week our shape is OVAL.
