Week of September 19

Our color this week was BLUE.

We read the Little Blue Truck.

For our Art Center we painted Little Blue Trucks with brown muddy paint. We used out glue stick to put the truck on our paper. We used our fingers to make out trucks muddy.

For our Sensory Center we played with Playdoh. Playdoh is great for strengthening our hands. We used rolling pins and cookie cutters too.

For a Fine Motor Center we played with Snap Tracks. We clicked the pieces together to make a track to drive cars on.

For our Play Center we played with trucks, tractors, and farm animals on the rug.

For a Group Center we played with Mega Blocks.

We are having so much fun making friends this year!

Week of September 12

Our color this week was BLUE.

For our SEL (Social Emotional Learning) time we read the book How to Dinosaurs Play With Their Friends? This book led us on discussions on how to be a good friend, sharing, and taking turns.

For our Fine Motor Center we played with pegs and mats. These pegs are a great size and shape for little hands. They use their strength and dexterity to put the pegs in the mat and sticking them together. They are lots of fun!

For our Skill Center we colored BLUE and RED color sheets. We are working on transitioning from a fisted grasp to a tripod grasp with our crayons.

For our Sensory Center we played in assorted seeds and beans with some plastic bugs thrown in to explore.

For our Art Center we made a basket of blueberries. We learned that glue makes things stick. We glued our basket on the paper. Then we used BLUE fingerpaint to make blueberries.

For a Group Center we played with Lincoln Logs.

We played with bubbles outside!

Outside play is great for our sensory systems and our gross motor skills!

For a Fine Motor Center we played with PopIts!

Our little ones were excited to meet Mrs. Andrea's puppy Daisy Mae!
