Week of March 18

Our Shape this week was DIAMOND. A DIAMOND is like a kite.
It was exciting to get to spend some time outside this week.

We read the book Kites by Bettina Ling.

At Circle Time we did a question of the day. The question was Do you have a dog? Everyone put their name on the board to show their answer.

For our Art Center we made beautiful kites. We used shaving cream and liquid watercolor paint. We dripped in some colors and swirled them together. We placed out kites in the colored mix. When we pulled it out and scraped off the shaving cream, we were left with pretty swirls of color. We hung them from our ceiling to brighten up our room.

For our Skill Center we color matched kites and kite tales. We used our hand strength to work the clothes pins.

For another Skill Center we traced Diamonds and worked on cutting lines. We are still reminding our friends to keep their thumb up when cutting. It's hard work, but they are improving every time.

For our Sensory Center we used cookie cutters to cut out kites from playdoh.

We had our Pastries with Parents Breakfast along with our Art Show this week. We are so proud of all our little ones. Their art work turned out great. We also had lots of compliments on our class watercolor pieces.

Thank you for sharing your little ones with us!
