Week of October 24

Our color this week was Black.

Our Science this month is Fall.

For our Creativity Center we played with loose parts. They included feathers, stones, plastic spiders,  pom poms... lots of orange and black!

For a Sensory Center we played with Playdoh and made it into a monster. We added silly eyes and horns to make funny monsters.

For another Sensory Center we played in our rice and bats sensory box.

We had lots of fun at our Halloween parties! We were excited to have moms, dads, and grandparents join us!
For our Art Center we made a spider craft. we put on eyes, and 8 legs. We used our glue stick to fasten the legs on.

For our Snack Center we made our own treat. We used a plastic knife to spread orange frosting on graham crackers. We added little black sprinkles with bats.

We shared some of our fun Halloween songs and ended the part passing our treats to our friends!

We played inside this week due to some rain.

Week of October 17

Our color this week was Orange.

Our science this month is fall.

During Circle Time our Star Student helps us with singing the ABCs, checking the weather, and counting. This week we read the book Fall Leaves by Mary Packard.

At Circle Time, our eyes (blink blink) are looking at the teacher. Our ears (wiggle wiggle) are listening to the teacher. Our mouth is quiet. Our hands are in our lap, and our legs are criss cross applesauce.

For our Art Center we painted a white and a green pumpkin for our Pumpkin Ice Cream Cone for the Boo Bash.

For our Sensory Center we played in rice with black bowtie pasta "bats" and pumpkins.

For a Fine Motor Center we hammered golf tees into a pumpkin.

For more FIne Motor Centers we played with pegs and squigs.

For a Group Center the whole class played with Mega Blocks. This is a great fine motor activity that also promotes sharing and negotiations among our little ones.
