Week of November 29

 Our colors this week were PINK & Purple.

For our Art Center we painted cup cakes. We made PINK puffy paint with shaving cream, glue, and liquid water colors.

For our Play Center we made ice cream cones with pom poms and scoops.

For a Fine Motor Center we played with small pop beads. We loved hooking them together to make jewelry.

For another Fine Motor Center we flipped cookies on a cookie sheet and sliced toy fruits and veggies.

We try to get outside whenever we can!

Week of November 15

 Our color this week was BROWN.

Our Science theme was BIRDS.

At Circle Time we learned about robins. We learned how the mama robin builds a nest out of sticks. She lays an egg in her nest and takes care of it. When the baby hatches, the mama searches for worms to feed her babies. When she comes to the nest, the babies open their mouths up wide! We looked at feathers and decided they were soft and fluffy... but they are also pokey. 

For our Art Center we mad a robin's nest. We used a brown crayon and colored in circles to make a nest. Then we glued a blue egg in our nest.

For our Skill Center we played with color matching birds. We put the mama and babies in the matching color nest. We also practiced lining them up by size. 

For our Sensory Center we used a magnetic wand to dig in black beans to find pipe cleaner "worms".
