Week of October 22

Our color this week was BLACK.
One of the books we read was Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson.

For our Art Center we decorated BLACK bats. We used liquid glue and glitter to make them sparkle. We pinched the glitter with our fingers and sprinkled it over the glue. Anytime we can use our pincher grasp, it helps us strengthen our hands for writing later on.

For our Fine Motor Center we scooped lima bean "ghosts". We used small baby spoons to scoop them up and put them in our cups.

For our Skill Center we colored bats with BLACK crayons.

For our Sensory Center we played in yellow corn. We added BLACK bow tie pasta bats.

We had some excitement this week when the Scott Township Firefighters stopped by for a visit.

This week we had our monthly Chapel. Our lesson was about David and Goliath. We learned David was a little boy and Goliath was a big big giant. David was able to defeat Goliath, because he had God on his side. They got to battle Goliath just like David. They threw big marshmallows at Goliath to defeat him! Almost all our little ones gave it a try.

We had a really fun week!
