Week of September 21

Our Students help the teacher with Circle Time. The lead the ABC song, they look out the window and tell us about the weather, and they helps the class count to 10.

We read the book The Little Blue Truck by Alice Schertle.

For our Art Center we finger painted brown mud on our Little Blue Truck.

For our Sensory Center we played with Playdoh and toy bugs.

For a Skill Center we played with color matching bugs and color matching muffin tins.

For our Fine Motor Center we played with loose parts. Our little ones get to explore different objects and materials. They build, stack, and interact with the materials. It's all about the experience and not the product.

After recess, we line up on the fence!

Week of September 14

Our Star Students sit in a special rocking chair at Circle Time, and they help the teacher with the weather, ABCs, and counting.

For our Outdoor Learning Center we played in the sand box & pebble pit.

For a Science Center we used blocks to build bug houses.

We discovered some tiny crickets on the playground.

We colored some RED lady bugs. As the year progresses, we will transition our little ones to a tripod grasp of their crayon.

We love PlayDoh! It's great for making our hands strong. We will need strong hands when we start writing.

We tried out some different fine motor and skill centers.

Great weather allowed us some fun playground time. Making friends is the best!
