Week of October 25

 Our color this week was BLACK.

We read the book The Haunted Ghoul Bus by Lisa Trumbauer.

 

For our Halloween Parties we:

- We hat lots of fun costumes!

- We made a snack mix today. Everyone got to add an ingredient and give it a stir.

- We had a blast hammering golf tees into a pumpkin. We wore goggles for safety.

- We Trick or Treated our other classrooms.

- We also had a fun party time. There were tunnels to climb through, hoops to jump in, bean bags to toss, a ball and bucket game, and some creepy spiders to find in a web.

It was lots of fun! We posted lots of pictures on our classroom Facebook page.

For our Art Center we made a silly monster to decorate our Trick - or - Treat bags. We had lots of laughs putting them together.

For a Play Center we used felt pieces to make funny Jack - O - Lanterns.

For a Building Center we played with Magnatiles. These are very popular with our little ones.

For our Outdoor Learning Center we stacked and counted wood cookies.

Week of October 18

 Our color this week was ORANGE.

For our Art Center we made Five Little Pumpkins Sitting on a Gate. This was a fun craft that is also counting practice for our little ones.

For a Fine Motor Center we played with pegs. Out little ones love this activity!

For another Fine Motor Center we strung large buttons. This is a fun way to improve our dexterity and hand/eye coordination.

We also strung small straw pieces on pipe cleaners.

For our Sensory Center we played in black beans. We used shovels and scoops to fill pumpkins.

For our Outdoor Leaning center we worked some more on removing corn from the cob. We enjoyed the great weather too!
