Week of January 7

Our color this week was WHITE and our shape was CIRCLE.

We read the book Pete the Cat and the Bad Banana by James Dean.

During Circle Time we practiced recognizing our name. Later we will also pick out the first letter of our name.

We had lots of fun Winter Song this week. Five Little Penguins was a favorite.



For a Gross Motor Center we tossed "snowballs" into baskets.

For our Sensory Center we played with WHITE Playdoh. We used Ice cream cone mats and made scoops of vanilla ice cream.

For our Art Center we painted snow. We used blue paper and WHITE paint. Our paint brush was a Qtip. We made dot dot dot sounds while we added snow to our paper.

For another Sensory Center we played in WHITE rice. Our little ones love to scoop and pour the rice.

We have a field trip to CMoe coming up on January 30. There will be no Jumpstart class that day. We will all meet at CMOE for lots of fun.
