Our class theme this week was housekeeping. They had a blast. Maybe you can put them to work at home!
Our Questions of the Day this week were "Are you a boy or a girl?" And "Do you like grapes?".
For our Fine Motor Center we hung undies on the clothesline. We used our pincher grasp and hand strength to work the clothes pins.
For our Skill Center we swept up shapes in all different colors. We swept them into our dust pan and dumped them into the bin.
For our Sensory Center we washed dishes. We practiced waiting our turn to use the sink and wash our dishes. We put them in the draining rack and dried them off. Of course we loved spraying the faucet and splashing in the water too!
For our Play Center we used more cleaning tools. We dusted, swept, mopped... we cleaned up paper clips that we spilt on the floor. We tried different ways to clean them up. Sweeping worked but took a long time. A squeegee worked, but we still had to pick them up. Finally we used magnets. The kids loved exploring different ways to do the task.
We were so lucky to have great weather this week and spent a lot of time outside. It is wonderful to watch little friendships getting stronger with our little ones!
