Week of January 6

We were so happy to get back to school and see all our little friends. It was obvious our little ones felt the same way. They were so loving and affectionate with each other.

Our color this week was WHITE.
Our shape this week was CIRCLE.
Our science theme this week is WEATHER.

We read the book Winter Friends by Carl R. Sams II & Jean Stoiek.

For our Sensory Center we played with polar bears and pretend snow.

For our Art Center we made a melting snowman. Our weather has been so warm, it was fun to talk about what happens to snow when it gets warm. We practiced using out glue stick. We added a head, eyes, scarf, stick arms, a carrot nose, and a hat to our snowman body.

For our Fine Motor Center we used chunky tweezers to put WHITE pom poms into snowman bottles.

For another Fine Motor Center we stacked X blocks.

For our Skill Center we played with color matching birds. We tried to put all the birds in the right color nests.

We had a fun visit from the Library Lady this week. We always have fun with books and music!

It was so great to be back at school. We have lots more fun and learning to come this year!
