Week of February 4

Our shape this week was HEART.

During Circle Time we worked on name recognition. We also started finding the first letter of our name.

We read the book We Love You Hugless Douglas by Davis Melling.

For our Art Center we made decorations for our Valentine bags. The girls made purple foxes our of hearts. The boys made Ninja Turtles from a green heart. They turned out so cute!

For our Fine Motor Center we strung colored beads on matching pipe cleaners. We used our fine motor skills to pick up and string our beads while color sorting them.

For a Skill/Fine Motor Center we used pom poms to make the first letter of our name. We picked up the pom poms with chunky tweezers and placed them on our mat to make letters.

For another Skill Center we traced the first letter of our name. We used dry erase crayons to trace our letter. 

For a Science Center our Tuesday/Thursday class did an experiment with water and biodegradable packing peanuts. We sprayed them with warm water and watched them dissolve.
