Our science theme this month is DINOSAURS.
Our holiday was VALENTINE'S DAY.
We read the book Porcupine Valentine by Aaron Zenz.
We all made Valentine bags. We added hearts to a green DINOSAUR to give him spikes.
For our Art Center we made a crayon resist painting. We drew hearts on the page with white crayon. We painted them with watercolors. Our little ones loved seeing the images appear.
For our Fine Motor Center we rescued DINOSAURS. We froze DINOSAURS in ice. Our little ones wore safety glasses and hammered them free with lobster mallets. They loved this activity.
For our Creativity Center we played with loose parts. We used wood, shells, DINOSAURS, beads, and other items to pay creatively.
For our Sensory Center we played in dried peas with DINOSAURS and bones.
For our Gross Motor Center we made an obstacle course. We got new tiles with actions on them. We set them up in our classroom. They have activities like frog jumps, touch your toes, hop on one foot. We had fun following the leader through the activities.
We want you to know that we love your children and we pray for them every morning as we start our day. It is our favorite thing to watch them pray together too.
We had lots of fun passing our Valentine Cards to our friends.
