Week of January 27

Our shape this week is STAR.
Our science theme this month is WEATHER.

For our Art Center we decorated rain boots. We used our fine motor skills to put STAR stickers on our yellow boots. We tried to put at least 10 stickers on our boot.

For our Skill Center we sorted colored beads and strung them on a rainbow. We practiced naming our colors while we used out fine motor skills to put the beads carefully on the right color pipe cleaners.

For our Fine Motor Canter we worked on tracing lines. We used weather sheets and held our dry erase crayons carefully. We also tried to draw horizontal and vertical lines. These will be some of our first steps to writing letters.

For our Sensory Center we made it rain! We played with water and rain clouds. We placed the cloud in the water. Then we covered the whole on top and lifted the cloud. When we took our finger off the top whole it started raining!

 For our Science Center we made a snow storm in a jar. We used white paint, water, baby oil, and antacid tablets to simulate a snow storm.

For our Gross Motor Center we did a little Spiderman Yoga.
