Week of October 12

For Circle Time our Question of the Day was "Do you have a cat?".

For our Art Center we painted pumpkins. We used sparkly ORANGE paint on our knuckles to make the shape of pumpkins.

For our Gross Motor Center we raked leaves. We gathered them all up and put them in a basket.

For our Exploration Center we played with Loose Parts. This activity lets our little ones use their imagination to play however they want with a variety of materials.

For our Skill Center we starting learning scissor skills. We learned how to hold them and how to open and close them. We practiced with playdoh scissors. We are trying our best to keep our thumb on top.

For our Outdoor Learning Center we dug in the pebbles and scooped and poured sand. We added a big sunflower to our nature box. We had fun pulling out the seeds.

We found a toad outside this week. Everyone got to take a look. We love the critters we see outside. So far we have seen butterflies, crickets, wasps, hawks, a bunny, vultures, and a toad. Sometimes we can hear the cows mooing from across the street.

We are enjoying watching friendships develop between our little ones.
