Week of September 28

Circle Time

We did some color matching with ladybugs. Each of our little ones had a turn to match a ladybug to the right color on the flower. They did a great job!

Our Question of the Day was, "Do you like blueberries?" Our little ones put their name on the board for "Yes, Blueberries" or "No Thank You, Blueberries". Most of us like blueberries.

Mrs. Nicki came for a surprise visit and read a funny fall book.

For our Fine Motor Center we used our BLUE Crayon to color. We are focused on staying on our paper and making lots of it BLUE. We will also be working to transition to a tripod grasp as the year goes on.

For our Skill Center we decorated the first letter of our name. We used dot markers to stamp each circle that makes up our letter. We also learned something else that starts with our letter. We used our hand strength to press hard with our marker to make a good dot.

For our Sensory Center we played with the light table. We had lots of things that are BLUE. We observed how the light shines through the items.

For another Fine Motor Center we played with Duplo Blocks. These are fun to put together and take hand strength to pull apart.

For our Science Center we learned a little about cicadas. Mrs. Kristie found some shells for us to look at. She explained how the cicada busts out of his shell.

For our Group Play Center we played with trains and train tracks. It takes a lot of friendship skills to share, work together, and take turns!

We are having so much fun making friends and learning how to play together! Thank you for sharing your little ones with us.
