Week of Sept 28

Our color this week was YELLOW!

We counted 5 Little Bees and read The Duck at the Door.

We are spending a little extra time working on following our classroom rules this week. We want to make sure all our little ones are kind to others, play safely, and listen to the teachers. We have been reminding them to use kind hands, not to run in the classroom, and to listen when the teacher is talking. We know this is a work in progress, but we know they will all catch on.

Our Sensory Center tub was full of black beans, flower pots, daisies, and shovels. Our little ones scooped and poured beans and planted flowers.

In our Art Center we created yellows sunflowers. We glued sunflower seeds in the middle of our flowers.

In our Fine Motor Center we used clothes pins and tweezers to pick up pom poms and place them in a container.

In our other Fine Motor Center we played with pegs and foam mats. We practiced inserting our pegs in the mat, removing them, and stacking the pegs.

One of our songs in Music Center was Bumble Bee. We flapped our tiny bumble bee wings and danced along!

On Thursday we had a visit from Silly Safari. Our little ones loved seeing all the animals. We got to meet a bunny, tortoise, rat, chicken, toad, kinkajous, baby alligator, owl, and a python. We got to pet most of the animals.

Our color next week is BLACK.
Our Star Students next week are Sophie and Junah.

As always, thank you for sharing your little ones with us. They are so much fun!
