Week of October 16

Our color this week was ORANGE.

We talked about Firemen this week. We read a book about how to have a fire drill.

For our Art Center we made a fire picture. We used glue and tissue paper to make a red, orange, and yellow fire. We added blue tissue for the water the fireman was using to put out the fire.

For a Fine Motor Center we worked our hand muscles while playing fireman. We used spray bottles to spray water on paper flames to put out a fire.

For another Fine Motor Center we strung large beads on string.

For our Gross Motor Center we practiced a fireman obstacle course. We crawled under a table cloth and used our balancing skills to walk on "rocks".

We had a great visit from the Scott Township Fire Department and Sparky the Fire Dog.

Halloween parties will be October 30th & 31st at 10:30 in the classroom. Parents are welcome to attend. We have a donation list posted outside the classroom. If you wish to donate a supply for the party, you can sign up for something. Our little ones can wear a costume for the party as long as it is bathroom friendly.
