Week of October 9

We had a short week due to Fall Break, but we managed to pack in a lot of fun.

Our color this week was YELLOW.

Our book was Bear Counts by Karma Wilson and Jane Chapman.

For our Play Center this week we had a Lemonade Stand. Our little ones pretended to sell, pour, and serve lemonade. They had a table where they sat to pretend eat treats. They ran the cash register and gave change. They had so much fun!

For a Fine Motor Center we made lemonade from scratch. Our little ones gave their hands a work out. They squeezed their own lemons. We wore goggles so the juice didn't squirt in our eyes. We got to taste our lemonade when we were done. They all said, "Yum!"

Before our snack, we always say a prayer.

We will be having our Halloween party for Monday/Wednesday class on October 30 and Tuesday/Thursday on October 31. Parents are invited to join us at 10:30. We will post a donation sign up sheet outside the classroom the middle of next week for any items we need for the party.  Costumes can be worn to school as long as they are bathroom friendly. We look forward to having you join us!

On Tuesday October 17 we will have a visit from the Scott Township Firefighters. The kids will be able to tour the rescue vehicles and talk with the firemen. Our Monday/Wed class is welcome to join us. I will post to the blog when I know what time they will arrive.
