Week of October 2

Our color this week was YELLOW.

We are learning about the first and second days of creation.

• God created the day and the night
• God created the big blue sky

We read Bear Sees Color by Karma Wilson and Jane Chapman.

For our Art Center we painted with corn. We painted our corn in yellow, orange, and brown. We rolled our painted corn on our paper to make a fall painting.

For our Sensory Center we played in corn kernels. We used shovels to scoop them.

For our Fine Motor Center we sorted different types of beans and seeds. Some of them were pretty tiny so we had to work our pincher grasp to pick them up.

For another Fine Motor Center we played with interlocking rings.

For our Skill Center we colored yellow lemons.
