Week of September 10

Our color this week was RED.

Our book was Llama Llama Red Pajama by Anna Dewdney.

For our Art Center we decorated RED pajamas. We worked with liquid glue. We learned that just a dab will do. We picked up tiny polka dots with our pincher grasp and put them into the liquid glue. Our pajamas looked very fancy when we were done.

For our Sensory Center we made apples with red Playdoh. We rolled the Playdoh into balls and put them on a Playdoh mat tree. This was a popular center and lots of apples were smashed this week!

For our Fine Motor Center we used chunky tweezers to pick "apple" pom poms and put them in containers. We know this looks like lots of fun, but it is also helping our coordination and hand strength!

For another Fine Motor Center we colored a picture of LLama LLama. We are starting to work on switching some of our kids over to a tripod grasp from a fist while holding their crayon. They all did great.

We are loving our time on the playground!
