Week of October 28

We had a super fun week celebrating Halloween!
Our color this week was ORANGE.

We read Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson.

Our question of the day was, "Do you like cotton candy?" Our little ones used their name tags to make their choice. We are working on recognizing our first name with this activity.

For our Fine Motor Center we did some hammering. We used lobster mallets to hammer golf tees into a big ORANGE pumpkin. We wore safety glasses while we hammered. This activity was a big hit!

For our Sensory Center we made playdoh creatures. We used ORANGE playdoh and added eyes, noses, ears, legs and arms. We made some pretty funny creatures.

For another Fine Motor Center we scooped lima beans. We used baby spoons to pick up lima bean ghosts. We moved them from the tray to a cup. We tried our best not to drop them.

Fr our Art Center we made ORANGE pumpkins. We used sticky paper pumpkins and added tissue paper to them. Mrs. Kristie hung them from our ceiling to decorate for our party.

We had fun at our class Halloween parties. We were excited so many people joined us. We painted pumpkin patches using our fists. and ORANGE paint.

We made our own snack mix. Each table added pretzels, M&Ms, mini marshmallows, and Teddy Grahams to a bowl. They took turns stirring and serving their snack. They did a great job following instructions.

We played a toss the pumpkin game, and then we shared our favorite Baby Shark song with everyone.

Thanks for coming!
