Week of August 29

We need Our color this week was RED.

Our book was 10 Apples Up on Top by Dr. Seuss.

At Circle Time we talked about the color red. We looked at pictures of things like lady bugs and fire trucks that are red. Our Circle Time friend is an Elephant named Trudy. Every morning we greet Trudy with a big hug. Trudy has big ears and can hear very good. Trudy likes it quiet at Circle Time.

This month we are learning about the first day of creation. Day One, God made the day and the night.

On of our songs this week was Way Up High in an Apple Tree.

For our Art Center we stamped apples. We used a rubber stamp to paint red circles on our paper.

For our Sensory Center we played with red playdoh. We used rolling pins to flatten our dough. We used red cookie cutters to cut out shapes. Squeezing playdoh and using tools helps make our hands stronger for writing later on.

For a Fine Motor Center we picked apples. We picked up red pom poms and put them inside a container.

For another Fine Motor Center we stacked apples. We used our characters from Ten Apples Up on Top and skewers. We stacked Apple Jacks to the skewers. We used lots of hand/eye coordination for this activity.

We are learning to line up for recess.

We enjoy our time on the playground.

When we finish with our Snack Time we find a book to read.

There is no school Monday, September 5 for the Labor Day Holiday.

Our Star Students next week are Maycee and Liam.

Our color next week is RED.

Thank you for sharing your little ones with us!
