Our Bible lesson this month is the first day of creation. God made the day and the night.
We had our first Star Students this week. Our Star Student gets to sit in a special chair at Circle Time. The Star Student also helps lead our ABC song. Most important, they get to use the teacher's pointer. Our Star Student also brings a snack for the class and gets to be our Line Leader for the week. Please watch your Star Student calendar in your child's binder for their Star Student week.
We also celebrate birthdays during Circle Time.
For our Art Center this week we made watermelon slices. We used our fine motor pincher grasps to place black beans in glue on a red paper plate.
For our Skill Center we sorted plastic bears by color.
For our Sensory Center we played with our red playdoh again. We continued working on rolling out playdoh flat and using cookie cutters to make shapes.
For our Fine Motor Center we used different kinds of blocks.
At Snack Time we fold our hands and pray. We are learning to ask for more food by saying "more please" and saying "thank you". When we are done with our snack, we put up our cup and throw away our trash.
On the playground this week we "painted" the fence with water and brushes.
Our color next week is BLUE.
